We are currently seeking a Compliance Specialist for our Middlefield office. The Compliance Assistant will a ssist the Compliance & CRA Officers in implementing and maintaining the Bank's compliance program to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable federal and state banking laws and regulations; with an emphasis on the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Uses independent judgement to analyze loan documents to determine if a loan meets regulatory guidelines to qualify as a HMDA and/or CRA reportable loan
Conduct scheduled internal reviews of data captured and reported by the business units to ensure it has been accurately recorded in accordance with regulatory guidelines
Prepare written reports of findings and follow up on responses
Validate corrective action
Provide guidance and advice to employees
Track and trend results of reviews
Ensure completeness of regulatory reporting data testing for omissions
Ensure regulatory reporting deadlines are met
Maintain information on all loans, projects, and activities that qualify for CRA credit
Assist other compliance personnel as needed
Successfully complete all job-related training
Attend external training as identified by supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory duties.

Advanced knowledge of and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Bank information systems and software. Experience with CRA-Wiz helpful.
Communicate with peers and managers both verbally and in writing. Communicate basic and known level of concepts. Skilled at communicating one-on-one and in groups. Read and interpret general business documents. Write routine reports and general business correspondence.
Position requires basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to create and interpret graphs.
Must possess theability to solve practical and moderately complex problems using prescribed and detailed procedures. Problems are routine with standardized solutions that require some degree of judgment. Ability to work independently with little direction. Must possess superior analytical skills as well as deductive reasoning.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Minimum experienced required to be successful in this job is 1-2 years of relevant work experience in banking industry.
