Syspro ERP Developer
Contract to Perm or Direct Hire

The person in this position will configure, analyze, design, develop, and maintain ERP program codes and applications to support business processes and functions. Will work closely with business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions for the development and operation of the ERP system. Assist in such day-to-day operations as troubleshooting, production support, and maintaining the ERP platform. Relies on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected. This position reports directly to the Director of Information Technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for designing and coding applications per gathered requirements.
Work within the ERP project team to design and implement innovative solutions.
Support multiple Syspro environments, while following best practices and departmental change management policies.
Perform debugging and testing of all code, and assist with any required corrective actions.
Responsible for assisting the ERP administrator with implementing, maintaining, and improving the ERP systems.
Maintain positive relationships with end users and vendors.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field. Experience may be considered as a substitute for education or in combination with formal education.
At least 5 years of IT experience, with 3 years of development experience.
Experience with the Syspro ERP platform.
Three or more years of experience developing with Object Oriented languages, such as C#, and the .NET Framework required.
Thorough understanding of the system development life cycle required.
Three or more years of Microsoft SQL Server experience required.
Writing reports with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) required.
Strong understanding of all significant components of an overall IT architecture (infrastructure, applications, data management, redundancy, and disaster recovery) a plus.
Experience meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff.
Strong analytical abilities, organized with attention to detail.
Must be able to document code, write procedures, and follow best practices within IT.
Ability to shift work hours as required by scheduled projects and/or unscheduled urgent support requests.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and manufacturing instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management and employees.
Analytic and problem solving skills with a structured, methodical approach to network/systems administration and engineering. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in written and diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be able to understand and apply company-related documentation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to lighting and temperature as required for the manufacturing area. Appropriate safety equipment is required by area. There is potential exposure to hazardous chemicals. A considerable amount of walking from department to department may occur in unfavorable weather conditions. The employee is exposed to the inherent dangers of the explosive materials used in the company's manufacturing processes.

Some travel to Mesa, AZ and possible travel to China, Japan and Thailand.
